This evening, February 6, Moncler will unveil exclusive custom designs created as official sponsor of the Brazilian Olympic Committee for the opening and closing ceremonies. Co-designed by Moncler, under the creative direction of Remo Ruffini, alongside iconic Brazilian creative Oskar Metsavaht, the uniforms celebrate the spirit of Brazil, blending bold symbolism with Moncler\u2019s performance-driven expertise.<\/p>\n

To be worn by Team Brazil, including flag bearer and Moncler Grenoble brand ambassador Lucas Pinheiro Braathen, the designs mark a defining moment where cultural expression, athletic excellence and alpine innovation come together on winter sport\u2019s most prestigious stage.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

THE UNIFORM<\/p>\n

Rooted in Moncler\u2019s signature style codes and mountain DNA, the uniforms reinterpret a defining house icon, the legendary Karakorum jacket, originally created for Italian mountaineers Achille Compagnoni and Lino Lacedelli during their historic first ascent of K2. Oskar\u2019s original ideations of the uniforms can be seen in sketches, that were then refined throughout the design process. Flag bearers Lucas Pinheiro Braathen and Nicole Silveira are outfitted in special sculptural capes.<\/p>\n

Defined by a long, fluid silhouette, the white capes generate a striking sense of movement, while retaining the Karakorum\u2019s signature double-button opening, chest pocket and a regal hood drawn from the snow-protective construction of expedition wear.<\/p>\n

Inside each cape, the Brazilian flag is inlaid through intarsia, revealed in fleeting glimpses as Nicole in Cortina, and Lucas in Milan, will make their historic walk through the ceremony. The designs are crafted in Moncler\u2019s signature recycled nylon laqu\u00e9, combining technical performance with ceremonial presence.<\/p>\n

Flag bearers are further distinguished by a white and green color palette, while the rest of Team Brazil appears in blue and green ensembles, each hue a direct reference to the Brazilian flag. All uniforms are finished with the Brazilian star, the Brazilian Olympic Committee crest and the Moncler logo. The blue looks feature signature puffer jackets, with matching shorts for men and matching skirts for women. Footwear comes in the form of the Moncler Altive winter boot, Viale Ortles 38, 20139 Milanoreimagined in exclusive custom white or blue colorways.<\/p>\n

SHARED PASSION<\/p>\n

For both Oskar Metsavaht and Moncler, designing the Team Brazil opening ceremony collection represents a symbolic homecoming, one that reconnects each to their shared mountaineering and performance-driven origins. In 1997, Metsavaht competed representing Brazil in the FIS Giant Slalom Snowboard event in South America, securing third place in Valle Nevado, Chile. His very first clothing design was a coat created for an expedition in the Andes, marking the beginning of a lifelong dialogue between design, sport and the outdoors. Designing the Team Brazil opening ceremony uniforms therefore sees Metsavaht return to the technical sportswear roots that first shaped his creative vision, reaffirming a deep and enduring love of winter sports, as well as a modern, elevated vision of Brazilian design and culture.<\/p>\n

For Moncler, the collaboration marks a powerful return to the slopes of the world\u2019s most demanding winter stage, on home soil in Italy. Milano Cortina 2026 arrives almost six decades after Moncler\u2019s last Olympic appearance in Grenoble, France, a legacy that lives on through Moncler Grenoble, the brand\u2019s signature dimension of mountain wear that seamlessly unites high performance with high style.<\/p>\n

Moncler and Metsavaht\u2019s shared history spanning winter sports and modern metropolitan exploration provides a distinctive foundation for this project. United by a vision of performance- led design, they create garments engineered to meet the demands of the most challenging conditions, without ever compromising sophistication or elegance.<\/p>\n

The brand will also open a Moncler Grenoble Beyond Performance Exhibit in the Portrait Milano courtyard from February 8th.<\/p>\n
