Introduction<\/strong><\/h4>\n

This collective exhibition, completely free, is set up at the Public Library – De Andr\u00e8 Cultural
\nCenter in Marcon (Venice), and can be visited from 5 to 18 April 2024.<\/h4>\n

The title of the International Art Exhibition is \u201cBeauty in Abstract \u2013 abstract in comparison\u201d. The exhibition is by invitation only by the curator, who wanted both national and Greek abstract artists to be present, in a sort of cultural exchange. It is no coincidence that the choice fell on Greece, a country very close to Italy in terms of cultural influence, as I wanted to compare how abstract art is differently interpreted.<\/p>\n

This exhibition is part of the project I am carrying out:”Free exchange of exhibitions” and
\nrepresents the fifth exhibition: two were organized in 2023 and another two in 2024. What I would like to carry forward is the reciprocity of exchange, in sense that if I set up and curated this exhibition today, I would expect another artist will find a way to reciprocate with another exhibition in another place\/region or state. It is not a peremptory obligation, but at least a moral obligation. I am absolutely convinced that this is the right way to make the voice of the Artist heard, who is targeted by people asking for money. We need to cut the thread that historically ties us to critics, galleries, cultural associations, competitions, art fairs and public bodies that charge for their spaces.<\/p>\n

Dear Friends, I understand that it may be difficult to overcome the jealousy that binds the Artist to his career and therefore to sharing his knowledge and information, also because he had to pay and suffer to have it, but I believe that the more numerous we are, the more success we will have in the pursue this project. It is necessary to overcome that threshold of confidentiality to which we are all linked, in one way or another. We need to share.<\/h4>\n

We enter another dimension which is not the economic one of profit, opposition, competition, but that of friendship, sharing and sincere collaboration without ends. Art must be free, just as the thoughts and actions of the Artist are free. With mutual help we will succeed.
\nSincere thanks go to the Municipality of Marcon for the free use of the locations, to the\u00a0 Honorary Consulate of Greece in Venice for granting the patronage, to Bortoli Assicurazioni snc as main partner, to the other partners and to all the participating artists for the commitment and trust that they reserved me.<\/p>\n

Taking advantage of the characteristics of the place, very bright due to the presence of large
\nwindows on the ceiling, I wanted to set up the exhibition in a rather innovative way, hanging the works without supports on five sides of the balustrade. In this way the 10 100×150 cm works hang down free like a sheet. In this case each artist is present with 2 works. The visual impact at the entrance to the Library is unique and invites visitors to enter the exhibition. The remaining 37 works by 10 artists hang on the walls.
\nI don’t want to go into commenting on the works exhibited and mentioning the artists involved with a critical disquisition. I only wish to highlight the notable artistic research developed on themes deeply felt by modern society, such as solitude, complexity, ecology, social comparison and the desire to escape. At the end, the quality level of the works on display is remarkable.<\/p>\n
