In Tinos island, I decided to try out something different, to be precise, a luxury house instead of a hotel. Tinos is the perfect spot for that, since you get all you need at the time you want it.
Therefore, I found an amazing new compound of 4 luxury apartments in the main town of the island, named Rose & Stone Luxury Houses. Rose & Stone offer an elegant blend of minimalist design, modern comforts, and Cycladic charm. Their names: Duke, Prince, Queen & King. I stayed at the King.
Each of the luxury apartments is a thoughtfully renovated space that captures the essence of contemporary Cycladic design. A place where elegance meets comfort. Interiors are clean, with neutral tones and polished finishes that create a serene, stylish ambience. Many feature standout elements like a bathtub positioned in the middle of the room, plush sofas, and cozy dining nooks.
Situated at 18 Leoforos Alavanou, the apartments are perfectly positioned for exploring Tinos on foot. This is a prime location. Guests enjoy walking access to local attractions such as Stavros and Agios Fokas Beaches, the Archaeological Museum, and the iconic Megalochari Church

The amazing apartments
These self-catering apartments come with thoughtful amenities & practical perks. Fully equipped with kitchenettes or mini-kitchens featuring stovetops, ovens, kettles, coffee makers, and cooking utensils, modern conveniences including air conditioning, smart TVs, and free Wi-Fi, comfort-enhancing features, such as soundproofing, private entrances, balconies (often with sea or city views), and plush bathroom amenities like robes and slippers and a free parking, a rarity in central Tinos Town, making arrival and transport easy for guests traveling by car.
The guest experiences and reviews are exceptional. We even found organic Greek olive oil in the kitchen drawers, water & nectar juice in the fridge, while when we left we were given some fresh capers from the island, full of quercetin, which is the best after the summer holidays. Our host, Ioanna, was a sweet lady who took care of practically everything by even being proactive when necessary.

Rose & Stone is ideal for couples or solo travelers who appreciate high-end comforts, private and quiet stays, and the ability to explore Tinos on foot. With fully-equipped kitchens, they’re also great for guests seeking flexibility. Though family-friendly bookings may need arranging in advance, these apartments shine for romantic getaways, cultural escapes, or peaceful solo retreats.
In summary, Rose n stone Luxury Apartments offer more than just a place to stay—they deliver an immersive, elegant experience in the center of Tinos. Stylish design, top-tier amenities, excellent location, and glowing reviews make these apartments a standout option for travelers who value comfort, aesthetics, and personalized hospitality.

While on our stay there, we had the pleasure of visiting some of the best restaurants on the island.
The first was “To Perivoli tis Kardianis”, an amazing place right on the cliff of the village of Kardiani with impeccable food choices. Nestled in the charming village of Kardiani on Tinos, Perivoli tis Kardianis delights visitors with its breathtaking Aegean panoramas that seem to blur the line between sea and sky.
This hidden gem offers culinary authenticity where traditional Greek-meets-Mediterranean flavors shine—think inventive salads, comforting meat with refined taste, and seasonal seafood, all elevated with creative flair and a modern touch. Diners praise not only the exquisite dishes—“executing classic dishes to perfection or adding their own little twist”—but also the warm, welcoming hospitality and the serene terrace framed by a pergola of trees. Whether you’re settling in for a sunset meal or simply soaking in the tranquil ambiance, to Perivoli tis Kardianis promises a memorable—and truly Greek—gastronomic escape.
The other one is Akrovatis, at Dyo Choria, on the other side of the island. Perched in the picturesque village square of Dyo Choria, Akrovatis (meaning “The Acrobat”) is a beloved all‑day cafe‑restaurant that dances gracefully between tradition and creativity. Under the welcoming shade of platanus trees and framed by stunning Aegean vistas, this charming spot is a testament to hospitality with heart and flavor. Guests begin their day with standout breakfasts and brunch, then linger through the evening with artfully prepared meze using authentic Tinian ingredients—think eggs in creamy feta, homemade pasta with butter, slathered in local charm.
Both To Perivoli tis Kardianis & Akrovatis are not just a place to dine. They are a destination of their own, where thoughtful flavors, attentive hosts, and the timeless beauty of Tinos converge to create something truly memorable!
Tinos, it is then …
