In the heart of Naxos Town, just a few steps from the crystal-clear waters of Agios Georgios & Agios Prokopios Beach, Sphinx Hotel has been welcoming travelers for over four decades. The story of Sphinx Hotel began in 1985. The doors of this small hotel, opened to share the beauty, culture, and spirit of Naxos to visitors from all around the world. The hotel’s name reflects a deep connection to the island’s remarkable heritage. It is inspired by the Sphinx of the Naxians, one of the most celebrated monuments of ancient Greece. Around 560 BCE, the people of Naxos dedicated this magnificent sculpture to the Sanctuary of Delphi. Carved from the island’s renowned marble and standing more than 12 meters high, the Sphinx symbolized wisdom, strength, and guardianship while showcasing the artistic excellence and cultural significance of ancient Naxos. To me, the connection to this island runs deep, since I come from that area, the Delphi area!

Led by Nikos Sotiropoulos, an award-winning Pizzaiolo, the restaurant celebrates the rich culinary heritage of Italy through a menu inspired by timeless recipes and elevated with a contemporary touch.

Walking around the main town, I came across a beautiful islandish building where Soelle Luxury Spa is hosted.
