CANALI proudly unveils its exclusive dining concept Locanda CANALI, at the Harbour City Gateway Arcade, Hong Kong SAR. Rooted in CANALI’s legacy of Excellence, the new venue brings together the refined elegance of Milanese style and the authentic spirit of Italian cuisine, further expanding the brand’s lifestyle offering and strengthening its presence in the Greater Bay Area.
Locanda CANALI was officially inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Mr. Stefano Canali, President and CEO of the CANALI Group, together with Chef Gianni Caprioli. The event welcomed a curated guest list, including friends of the brand, prominent personalities such as Chang Huaseng and Aarif Lee, and representatives from the Italian Consulate in Hong Kong SAR.
Conceived as a space where fashion and dining intersect, Locanda CANALI offers an immersive experience that reflects the brand’s values of craftsmanship, heritage, and contemporary Italian elegance. The menu—curated by Chef Caprioli and his team—presents a refined interpretation of traditional Italian dishes, with a special focus on Milanese culinary traditions. Each ingredient is carefully sourced and thoughtfully prepared, underscoring the importance of quality and authenticity. Chef Caprioli, born in Southern Italy and raised in a family of cooks, brings decades of international experience to Locanda CANALI. His professional journey spans Italy, Europe, and the United States, shaping a culinary approach that balances tradition and innovation.
The interior design of Locanda CANALI draws inspiration from the brand’s sartorial identity. Signature materials such as checkerboard-patterned marble in Gris du Marais and Calacatta Cloudy are featured throughout, from the floors to the bar and table surfaces. Drapery-style wall panels, champagne-toned seating, and custom decorative elements contribute to a sophisticated and welcoming ambiance. Artworks celebrating Milan subtly anchor the space to its cultural origins. Adjacent to the new CANALI flagship boutique, the Locanda’s sleek glass façade invites seamless movement between fashion and dining—an architectural dialogue between elegance and conviviality. From a sophisticated café offering artisanal espresso and pastries by day, to an intimate dining escape by night, Locanda CANALI embodies Italian hospitality at its most elevated.
