For Spring/Summer 2026, Loro Piana presents the Library of Knits, composed of three knitwear collections inspired in shape and colour by Sergio Loro Piana, which fuse the richness of over twenty vibrant hues with the Maison’s excellence in fibres. In perfect harmony between artisanal savoir-faire and unmistakable sensoriality, the collections offer softness in all its forms, enhanced by the expressive power of colour.
Loro Piana’s expertise as a Master of Colour is evident in the Library of Knits, honed through extensive research and experimentation. The Maison explores a variety of captivating combinations, distinctive blends and delicate tonal shifts, while preserving and enhancing the finest qualities of the most exquisite cashmere. The palette features 22 colours for womenswear and 25 shades for menswear, including black, blues, taupes and mauves, pinks, camels, creams, greens, browns, red, coral, orange, and peach – a harmonious spectrum inspired by Serio Loro Piana’s personal wardrobe, inviting every individual to choose the hue that feels theirs uniquely.
The Library of Knits features the Classic Baby, Sergio, and Cedar collections for women and men, all refined interpretations of classic wardrobe staples inspired by Sergio Loro Piana, including polo shirts with elegant spiral metal buttons, cardigans, crewnecks and turtlenecks.
With clean lines and a regular fit, the Classic Baby knitwear collection is crafted from pure Baby Cashmere yarn, a refined fibre renowned for its extraordinary softness, which is obtained by combing the under fleece of cashmere goats during the first year of their life. The necklines, cuffs and hems of the sweaters are finished with ribbed knit.
The Sergio knitwear collection combines a classic look with an oversized, contemporary style. The pieces stand out for their pure, warm cashmere, obtained from the under fleece of adult Hircus goats from Mongolia and Inner Mongolia. Every detail is meticulously considered, including the visible drop stitches at the neckline and along the armhole seams.
The Cedar knitwear collection features timeless pieces in cashmere with braided details, including crewnecks, bomber sweaters, and beanies. The yarn is knitted in a classic cable-knit pattern, with single ribbing at the neck, cuffs, and hems.
The Library of Knits will be displayed in a series of exclusive in-store installations in key cities worldwide. Minimalist and refined, the installations’ concept and design represent the true essence of Loro Piana, featuring core elements of natural materials, a warm colour palette, and signature oak and carabottino wood details. Central to the space is a sculptural wooden cabinet with multiple drawers, evoking the meticulous organisation of an artist’s atelier. Nestled among the drawers, illuminated niches showcase the folded garments, inviting customers to explore textures, colours, and craftsmanship.
The in-store installations are open in the Milan Montenapoleone store in Italy from January 17th; the Paris Montaigne store in France from January 20th; the London Bond Street store in the United Kingdom from January 21st; the Dubai Mall of the Emirates store in the United Arab Emirates from January 14th; the Shanghai Plaza 66 store in China from January 14th; the Beijing Shin Kong Place store in China from January 14th; the Ginza store in Tokyo, Japan from January 15th; and the New York Madison store in the United States from January 14th.
