The alliance between Brioni and the historic French luxury fabric brand Dormeuil brings together the expertise and artisanal heritage of both Houses to create a product that exemplifies passion, innovation and mastery passed down through the decades.
The Super designation reflects the remarkable thinness of the wool: the higher the Super S value, the finer the fibre and thus the softer the fabric crafted from it. In fact, Utopia Super 220’s wool boasts exceptionally fine fibres at just 12.75 microns, making this one of the most valuable raw materials in the world of tailoring.
One of the distinctive features of Utopia Super 220’s is its 2-ply (2/140) weave, which gives the fabric a superior warp and weft structure. This technique involves twisting two yarns together to create a single thread, enhancing the fabric’s strength and durability.
Dormeuil’s finishing further enhances the material, imparting a luminous sheen and a silky texture: thanks to advanced pressing techniques, each fibre acquires a visibly more polished appearance and tactile feeling of absolute luxury.
