La Maison: The wine bar with the most enchanting sunset

By Christina P. Mallaki

Each time I go to Santorini I make an effort to try out something different, however I always honor favorite old time classic spots! This time around I chose to visit La Maison Wine Bar once again, as a journalist and not as a customer anymore! The restaurant with the most enchanting sunset.
Great experience yet again! La Maison is located in Imerovigli, on the rock, just below the Aeifos Boutique Hotel, offering its guests some of the most beautiful views of the caldera!

The menu is inspired by the Aegean, Greece and the Greek land and is structured with French finesse, made with local and seasonal products! At first we were welcomed with foam from Naxos cheese, extra virgin olive oil and half a loaf of bread from healthy ingredients! We continued with crab salad, which they had garnished with Brie and fish with greens – which was the most enjoyable and at the same time tasty for the occasion! An extremely cool dessert succeeded the main meal. The dishes’ presentation was highly artistic, making you think that perhaps a painter had curated them. Authentic dishes, creative, with unforgettable views!
The Executive Chef Dimos Samourakis & the Chef de Cuisine Filippos Kravaritis gave their best once again! For any interested guest, there is also a molecular kitchen available. And lets not forget, the view takes your breath away!
